Week 1
Week 1: This week started out learning about what information design is and with some activities. We were put into groups and given a task to do. It was really interesting to note that there was a bunch of information that we completely disregarded until we were given a scenario in which it was crucial to have that info. We also had a discussion on data visualisation and information design and set a task of selecting an over the counter medication and getting a couple of people to answer the medicine questionnaire. We were encouraged to think outside the box, so I opted for an MDMA testing kit which was available from cosmic. I thought this would be a really unique and interesting option and something that would test me, particularly as the packaging contained a bit of information overload.
