Week 11
This week I began by researching into the visual style of effective data visualisation apps as well as the aesthetic which tinder employs as I want the tool I create to be an extension of this and therefore be visually similar.

Through initial prototyping and user testing hi-fi wireframes on friends and flatmates, I also gained a sense of things they wish they could filter their matches out by, like eliminating anyone with the same name as an ex or family member. As well as the removing all matches with the dreaded hunting and fishing photos.

The feedback from this initial mockup, was that they really liked the colour palette and the clean corporate style design, but that they felt the graphs as they are weren't enough to engage and sustain interest. Which is what lead to the following mock up.
As this is an extension for tinder, I wanted to make sure I used the correct colour palette throughout this design, in order to make it aesthetically cohesive.

The feedback from this round of prototyping was that they again felt the graph used could be altered slightly and should possibly include data from the 4/5 rated users dataset as it is a better signifier of what I'm attracted to. They also felt the colouring used to display the compatibility level could be slightly more muted to tone in with the apps colour palette. They also signified to keep with the clean aesthetic the wee hair symbols could be put inside circles and that the compatibility tool behind the character could be a different shape to tie in with tinders aesthetic more. It was also noted that all of the sliders should fit on one screen as opposed to having to scroll down each adjustment thats made. They also signified that they really liked the compatibility leaderboard and thought this is where I could really adopt the possibility to use filters to get rid of particular matches. Overall, they said they could really see this being something which could be employed.
